Best Lunch Special in Town

The View.
Pizzeria Mozza is known for a lot of things. A bargain is not one of them. Well, until now. They recently announced a "Special" available at either the pizza or wine bar Monday-Thursday from noon-5 p.m. and 11 p.m.-midnight. For $20, you get any pizza on the menu, a glass of red or white wine and any dessert. That's something like a $35 value FOR FREAKING PIZZERIA MOZZA.

Never one to throw out hyperbole without doing my due diligence, I recently (along with a friend) trudged down to Mozza at 2 p.m. to make sure this deal is for reals. Two hours later, I am happy to report after our research visit, Pizzeria Mozza now easily houses LA's BEST LUNCH SPECIAL.  Not sure if my frugal blogging friend, Midtown Lunch would agree, but I challenge anyone to dig up a better deal than $20 for the city's best pizza (the Bianca) and dessert (Butterscotch Budino). Plus wine! From Italy! In Europe!

Below are pictures from our meal. I want to eat them.

Pizzeria Mozza
641 N. Highland Avenue, LA
"Special" (Pizza, Wine, Dessert) - $20

Glass of Italian Red Wine.
Bianca Pizza (fontina, mozzarella, sottocenere & sage).

Butterscotch Budino.
My Buddy's Pizza - The "Meat Lover's" (bacon, salami, fennel sausage, guanciale, tomato & mozzarella).

My Buddy's Dessert - Espresso Granita (w/ espresso gelato & chocolate dipped honeycomb).

  1. Wow! Awesome deal, we love Mozza! I wish I had known about this special last week when I was on Fall break.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. But the main attractions are the beers you can't find anywhere else. Start with Guinness Foreign Extra Stout: This is the only place outside drake shirts of St. James's Gate xxxtentacion shirt where you can find Guinness's bolder brother on tap. The founders of Boundless Mind are in some ways a study in opposites. Brown, the more garrulous of the two, is fluent in the unself conscious informality of the West Coast tech scene. He signs his emails with emojis bear, a red heart, a sun himself on the company website as an circus bear and favors collared shirts unbuttoned to the sternum, revealing a tan wilderness of chest hair.
