Most Kick Ass Thing I Ate Last Week: The #4 (Larchmont Wine, Spirits & Cheese)

Week Of: 5/20/12 - 5/26/12
Address: 223 N. Larchmont Blvd., Larchmont/LA
The Kick Ass Thing: The #4 - Roasted Turkey Breast (roasted turkey, Swiss gruyere cheese, mixed greens, tomato, sundried tomato spread, olive oil & balsamic vinegar on a fresh French baguette)
Cost: $8.50 (for the whole as shown above; $4.75 for half)
Thoughts: Although well known and beloved by Los Angelenos, I feel that Larchmont Wine & Cheese's gourmet sandwich menu often finds itself uninvited to the Best LA Sandwich party. Truthfully though, I can't really think of a better and fresher tasting turkey sandwich. No Boar's Head here. At $4.75 the half is plenty filling - but I go for the full at $8.50. Not simply because I'm a glutton, but because it's a tremendous value. I like sandwiches so big the thought of buying chips seems downright stupid. Larchmont Wine & Cheese's #4 fulfills this requirement and then some.
Awesome: Every sandwich comes with a little olive and cornichon side.
Annoying: The place gets packed around lunch time - and certain sandwiches can sell out.
