Most Kick Ass Thing I Ate Last Week: Salted Caramel Pecan Bobka Roll (Sycamore Kitchen)

Week Of: 7/15/12 - 7/21/12
Address: 143 S. La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles
The Kick Ass Thing: Salted Caramel Pecan Bobka Roll
Thoughts: They may call it a 'Salted Caramel Pecan Bobka Roll,' but it might as well be simply called 'LA's Best Cinnamon Roll With Fancy Other Things.' Or they can keep the name they already have. Either way, it's not to be missed.
Awesome: Cool new, spacious coffee and sandwich spot on La Brea from the Hatfield's people.
Annoying: No Wi-Fi.

  1. I am reading mixed reviews about the lunch items, mostly good but sandwiches and salads are expensive and not filling enough. There are raves about the baked goods, but again, how $$$? A scone that is wonderful at $2 is a rip-off at $5.

  2. I've been searching all over the internet for the price (accidentally threw out the receipt) to no avail. I believe it was like $3.50, which based on the quality is a fair price. The coffee was also solid.

The lunch items didn't appeal to me. I see it more as a coffee shop with upscale bakery items, making the no wi-fi thing even more disheartening.
