File Under Awesome: Top Round Roast Beef Opening Monday on La Brea

Good news, LA sandwich denizens! Still crying yourself to sleep over the sudden and somber closing of Los Feliz's Storefront deli? So upset about it you can hardly wake up in the morning and go outside? Yeah, me either. But, fret not, my fellow connoisseurs. As the circle of life is wont to do, today comes good news to the LA sandwich landscape with the birth of Top Round Roast Beef, a "regionally-inspired," "freshly-sliced," "100% USDA choice" roast beef sandwich shop. Opening at the corner of La Brea and Olympic next Monday, June 17th, Top Round comes from the power quartet of Anthony Carron (800 Degrees), Noah Ellis (Red Medicine), Steven Fretz (XIV, Curtis Stone) and Jamie Tiampo.

The fast casual spot will serve six regionally distinct roast beef sandwiches with the top round cut of beef being roasted for twelve hours in house before being sliced and placed on a butter toasted bun. TBRB will also feature housemade curly fries, frozen custard and concretes [Editor's Note: if you don't know what a 'concrete' is - ask a friend from the midwest and watch them gleefully convulse].

The true reason to file the opening under awesome: sandwich prices range from only $4.75 to $6.50.
